  • Energy Saving Upgrades

With the current cost of energy and the wider impact that energy use has on our environment, there has never been a better time to review your electrical installation to ensure that it is as efficient as possible.

At Spear we work with all of the leading manufacturers and technologies to be able to offer the right energy-efficient solutions for you and your business.

Whether it be new LED lighting systems with efficient controls or installing new controls to your existing heating, lighting, or ventilation systems we will work with you to provide the solutions and
    implement the change.

In 2023 and in compliance with environmental legislation, fluorescent lighting is to be phased out and components will no longer be available and it is therefore important for end users to take action to upgrade or replace commercial lighting systems.

  • Structured Cabling

All modern businesses rely on the safe and efficient transmission of their data and interruptions to networks can be extremely costly in terms of downtime and loss of productivity.

We are all familiar with the need to connect our computers and printers to the network but are often unaware that other items such as access control, BMS, Fire systems, CCTV and Intruder alarms rely on a robust structured cabling installation too.

Spear can install all types of structured cabling and networking requirements to suit your business.

All systems are fully validated, certified, Speed tested and warrantied to give you peace of mind and reliability.

  • Business Critical Power

We all rely heavily on the power that supplies our homes and businesses and in most cases, it would be impossible to manage without it.

Increasingly businesses are recognising the importance of having backup and emergency power systems to support their critical infrastructure, IT systems, cooling, refrigeration, and communications.

Whether it be UPS systems, generators or a combination of both Spear can provide the right solution for your home or business.

  • Commercial Installations

Spear has a dedicated team of highly experienced engineers who complete our commercial installations in the following sectors:

    • Retail
    • Commercial office
    • Refurbishment
    • Industrial
    • Manufacturing
    • High-End laboratory installations

Our team, work with you to find the right solution and strive to ensure a perfect and on-time delivery.

  • Fire Alarm Services

Since 2006 all commercial properties are required to, install, test, and maintain Fire alarm systems.

Spear can design and install fire alarm systems in accordance with BS5839 giving you peace of mind that the individuals in your business are safe and that your buildings and occupants are protected from the devastating effects of fire.

  • Test and Inspections

Electrical condition reporting is essential for the safety of your installation, occupants, and premises.
Routine testing and inspections can help to identify latent defects, degradation in components and ensure that the fundamental requirements for safety are met.
Routine testing and inspections are often a condition of insurance, and it is important to receive the correct advice and not fall into the trap of accepting the cheapest price.

Spear carries out all testing in strict accordance with BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and Guidance Note 3 which details the specific requirements. All reports are completed using NICEIC accredited software, enabling us to maintain cloud-based records and send certification electronically.

Spear can carry out thermal imaging and load monitoring surveys of electrical installations, distribution, and control equipment so that latent defects and excessive heat can be detected and rectified before leading to component failure, fire or damage. This process has proven to be an effective preventative maintenance tool, especially for high-demand commercial installations.

Our load monitoring surveys can provide you with a full analysis of your current electrical demand enabling an assessment to be made on whether an installation has scope for additional demand and whether your energy is being utilised efficiently.
